It is anticipated that if the proposed re-

organization takes place the number in the first year will

increase to 80 and in the second to 100.

The foes are at present $1 per mensom and if the re-organization takes place it is proposed to raise them to $3

The increase in

the amount paid at the District Schools.

numbers of scholars would entail the addition of a Fourth Grade Master, and some additional expenditure under other charges. Taking into account the saving in rent, an ever increasing sum, the nett increase in expenditure putting the salary of the English Master at the middle figure of £425 per annum is not

likely to exceed $5,000 per annum.

This expenditure would, I think, be justified in the interests of the considerable Indian population and the improvement in educational facilities would be much appreciated

by its members.
